A cerebral artery ruptured
Burst burst burst in my brain
Bloody bloody bloody
I had fainted, lost full consciousness
for two days
Severe severe headache
I was under the knife, drill and other tools
from a neurosurgeon
Drill the holes, drain the blood
It's way too much, too much
It is immediate brain damage, blood leaking
Into the vessels of the brain, it is an instant stroke
Five or six hours of bloodiness
I was absolutely brain dead, could not even walk
Who would care anyway but those really close to me
My children, maybe uncle, aunt, cousin, sister or even husband
Another artery ruptured, more blood
Intraoperatively
All of this , on vacation in another country
I was supposed to go back to work
I had lived.
Now today, balancing issues, dizziness, migraines
plus other issues neurologically
plus disbelief from those who don't exist
In the real world
Liars and Fakes until something happens to them
And they will smile and say ' when '
' it will never happen to them.'

At 20, while a junior in college, having a rather routine spinal surgery in my neck to correct a weakness in my left arm and hand, my blood pressure to my brain dropped too low and saving me resulted in my being paralyzed from the neck down. Unlike you, my brain was intact, but morphine, keeping me from the worst pain, messed with my mind during those awful days after while my atrophied arms and legs came back to partial feeling very painfully and my legs came nearly all the way back so that I could walk again five weeks later.
For 30 years, I tried to be normal and independent until I could no longer walk as my spinal cord aged and neurons died. In all 59 years since my initial paralysis, I have faced new challenges and managed to keep ahead. I hope that you will be able to improve each year and eventually feel that you're not dependent upon your family anymore.
