O distant pile of magazines,
of recipes and make-up tips,
celebrities and beauty queens,
all smiling teeth and glossy lips,
to my hand, come!
O tangerine just out of reach,
elusive moisturiser cream,
O hear my inner psyche screech
to drag you from a distant dream;
to my hand, come...
O water jug, glide unto me,
beloved Walkman, tissues all,
forgone toothbrush, I conjour thee,
come hither toothpaste, rinse withal,
to my hand, come...
Oh, *** it, I'll buzz for the nurse.
Good to see you active if not actually running round on your back legs. Liked the poem too, I will mail it to Kathy as she is campaigning for "alternative" therapies in the region's rehab units.
