Dealing with the loss of a loved one.

Farewell to you my dear friend,
it's so sad that your life has come to an end.
I have learned so much from your heart and soul,
the memories and lessons so dear I will hold.
I was wrong not to visit or give you a call,
though I can hear you say "no need for guilt at all."
You have filled our world with peace and care,
and the love between us that we have shared.
I will miss your hugs and smiling face,
and the warmth of your heart I will always embrace.
My thoughts of you are loving and fond,
our hearts and souls will forever bond.
