On Our Distant Horizons

The winter chill blows fiercely and eerily on my face

tattered and fragmented leaves, swirl along the sidewalk

as painted memories of you , coming rushing back to me

down through the hidden vortex, of time and space

as I wonder and contemplate, where your spirit now resides

when you have once loved, you never stop loving

no matter how much water, has passed under the bridge

that blessed person retains, the very essence of you

the dna of love, forever entombed within our souls

despite the physical ever changing, intense feelings linger on

like the restless and turbulent river, flows ceaselessly ever onwards

so I my beloved, move endlessly around your orbit

configurations of blinding emotions, known only to us

and as we drift effortlessly, beneath the heavenly glory

you will forever be with me, on our distant horizons
