The Road Home

By: Fee

A heaviness in my chest

Teardrops, sigh in my eyes

The song has left my lips

The chorus ends in sighs

Memories fade in and out

Things said and left unsaid

Faint images forever shifting

Trapped within my head

In youth I knew not fear

Now old I can truly see

Fear…like sunrise and sunset

No longer challenges me

I see the ending up ahead

This long road that I did roam

Hand held out to those before

Welcome me when I come home…

Thank you for your heartfelt sharing beautiful Fee... I have missed so much of your wondrous works during my own crusade on this planet... I am so deeply grateful we collaborated on a precious poem so many years ago now... What was it's name again? ... I have always felt a kindred connection with you no matter our absences... We will always be connected in our souls... I feel very grateful and honoured to have crossed virtual paths with you upon this wide world... Our souls are eternal... Looking forward to connecting with you again in the Oneness of it All... xoxoxox

From the size of the font I feel your pain. But from what I know, you've had a long run playing the parts of older gentlemen of considerable influence, particularly when it involves children who are enamored with stories like you have played parts in. And of course, the joy you have had playing Santa Claus for so long during the Christmas season.

The time comes for us all. Your stories and your images of various personas are your legacy that will live long beyond you and I. I raise a glass and we both approached that final hurrah.

Ron

I hope you are not having breathing problems with the Nova Scotia heat and smoke from wildfires.

We all must face the inevitable end as we did our beginnings. And just as loving arms were there to catch me then I know they'll catch me when.

Yes. We are all on that road, Fee, even those in denial. Love, peace, and blessings to you,
