Hands At The End Of The Light

Life anew traveling through a path of light, oblivious to the pains of contraction.  Contorted are bodies racing into the world, promises to the Father to love others as we must love ourselves soon forgotten.

Yet somehow after the tunnel spews us out to waiting hands, faces smiling with sighs of relief, we begin our journey to fulfill our purpose in life.  Choices constantly made breaking many unknowing hearts along the way, forgetting our true happiness is in love.  A family love, a friendly love, a neighborly love, a love for our pets, but a true brotherly love causes much strife.

If we should be so fortunate to arrive at a golden time in our life, we will reflect on all of the choices we made and it surly shall fill us with sorrow.  So many choices made selfishly as love laid upon the shelves of our heart collecting stale breath until swallowed up in our infirmities with no promise of tomorrow.

It all becomes so clear when our eyes become so dim.  We grab all the love and moments of true happiness that we can contain in the days that evolve so quickly.  We make our peace and we suddenly remember our purpose for life quite vividly.

On our day of shallow breaths and weakened bodies we prepare for our journey through a new tunnel of light rapidly to hands that await us.  The hands of love, peace and joy, but most of all forgiveness.

Once again, we make our peace and feel the loss of departing souls that lived a life of gloom.  Our heart breaks for the ones we leave behind but more for lost souls leaving with us who will also travel through the light with waiting hands of doom.

Very well said, Mary. Often, it is at the end of the road of our life that we value love, peace, joy and forgiveness. And often, that is when it is too late. If only we had the wisdom early on in our life to travel with love, peace, joy and forgiveness; how many people could we had impacted positively and what would our country be like today. Will there ever be enough people to pack their luggage with these gifts that would cause our generation and the next generation to eliminate hatred, bitterness, prejudice, envy, crime , etc.? And finally, will people ever realize that without these gifts, the end is truly and will be doom. Great--great---great

Whoa, this is so true, much too often we travel the road of self...and no matter how wonderful one did live, in the end we will still see...we took too many roads named self. This was a very good and thought provoking piece.
