For Phyllis who lost her mother on August 05, 2005. May the good Lord rest her soul in eternal peace.

Phyllis, I hope this little prayer will help you lose anxiety in the certainty that His everlasting arms are underneath you and about you; and giving you something of peace no one can ever take away - in this time of sorrow.

O God, our father, we know You are afflicted in all our afflictions; and in our sorrow we come to You that give us the comfort which You alone can give.

Make us feel sure that in perfect wisdom, perfect love and perfect power You are working ever for the best.

Make us rest assured that a Father's hand will never cause His child a needless tear.

Make us so sure of Your love that we will be able to accept even that which we can not understand.

Help us to be thinking not of the darkness of death, but of the splendour of the life everlasting, forever in Your presence and forever with You.

Help us still to face life with grace and gallantry; and help us to find courage to go on in the memory that the best tribute we can pay to our loved one is not the tribute of tears, but the constant memory that another has been added to the unseen cloud of witnesses who compass us about.

Comfort and uphold us, strengthen and support us, until we also come to the green pastures which are besides the still waters, and until we meet again those whom we have loved and lost awhile.

This Prayer is so full of love & compassion. It's really comforting.
I will use it in my time of need and for those close to me. You are a very caring person. It's good that you are not ashamed to share the love of God with others.

I really see that you are a kind and loving person and this poem expresses your deep sorrowul emotions for another human being. Someone who is hurting or was and this will make them feel as if there is hope in God so God bless you and keep it up, never change.

Sis Sandra: At our worship facility we recently had an all womens' study on how we felt about death. One woman saw it as the angels in Heaven's birthing room, waiting for the entry of another family member.

We're in our "human uterus" bodies now, and our true selves will be released when our spiritual gestation is completed. Lovely poetic prayer that I'm sure I'll ask your permission to read someday myself, at my grandmother's spiritual birthing.

blessin's,
cynth'ya

Thank you, Sandie, for posting this for Sister Phyllis during this time of transition. No matter how prepared we are and mature in spirit we are, there is some level of grief, especially with the passing of a mother who raised us well. You did a beautiful job with this posting.

Blessings to you, Phyllis and family. I praise God that you and your family have been granted the grace and strength to experience peace during a time when others often go through great distress and unease. May you continue to experience such peace and to flourish in grace and wisdom. ~~Nordette

My dear friend Sandra: God bless you for this outpouring of love. God is good all the time!

"As the eagle freed from it's cage soars to its native heights, so the soul, freed from the home of heavy flesh, will rise and return unto its Father's house, naked and unafraid." - Ernest Holmes

I didn't "lose" my Mother dear heart. I knew where she was. The spiral of life is upward. Her passing onward & upward was one of the most beautiful experiences I have ever experienced. We never lose anyone - for we know we will see them again. She left behind three wonderful children who she (along with the Creator) raised and moulded into survivors. Everything I am and will ever be is a direct result of her devotion and unconditional love. While grief is human, we will miss her terribly but when I think of her, I can only smile because I understand immortaility and continuity of the soul. I have hope. She is safe in God's keeping, done with the troubles of this world. She has been reunited with her parents, my son, my father, her sisters, her dear friends, and their lives flow on for eternity. She is now a co-conspirator with God in the affairs of her children's life here on earth. I know that they BOTH are watching over me.

Thank you again for this beautiful poem. Thanks to all who send condolences to myself and my family. We will be just fine because we know that death is not the end at all - IT IS A BRAND NEW BEGINNING!

Blessings and Miracles

Inspired and imbued with all The Spirit's grace, comfort, healing and strength, Sandie, this is an awesome gift that cannot be bought or stolen away. You sow seeds of light into a gathered darkness and breathe new life into death with these empathetic and wise words of consolation and hope. May Phyllis'journey of grief lead her to ongoing relief and a place of renewed optimism and vigour. Bless you - and her - greatly. You are the physical arms beneath her at this present time, perhaps.
