Poem Artwork

The runes have spoken to me from my subterranean fortress
They speak of the songs of the 3 Ed’s
and the wraiths calling them to the dance of death
Normally I would challenge their prowess
and take what is rightfully mine
lavishing in the blood feast of willing flesh
Yet I have been in the Vampires sleep for seasons past

My own flesh is sallow with unhealed scars
My once flowing cape is but a tattered remnant of what was
even the leaches pass me by with not so much as a glance
My heart pumps more air then blood these nights
but when I hear of the foul mutterings of the younglings
taunting and teasing like the arachnids coaxing their next meal
I am mortified by the flaunted dalliance over the great art

So to all those that would mock the old ways
Take heed The Dark Master is preparing to join
This little Halloween Celebration
Many have opposed me in the past
like Queen Eileen and Sir Jay
their fate shall I say was not tidy

I have already taken steps on my road to recovery
I am working out on my Bloodflex
and Wal-mart is having a sale on Capes
So again be warned !

I will not have the Ball defiled in any way
It is my history
My Beginning of immortality
when I first met my Angelina
The one who at first rejected me 5 years past
when I was just the Prince of Darkness
In time our souls touched
and I have danced to the sacred rhythms of unity ever since

So watch yourselves My Dear 3 Eds
I am coming out of the catacombs

That’s Catacombs  Mr Ed not Closet so stop giggling

WOW! How are you, you old Dark Master, you? It seems like we haven't chatted in centuries. And I hate to say it, you do look a tad - tattered. May I suggest one of the upscale fashion designer shops for your new cape? Old Edvard will be dressed to the Nines, and you surely don't want him to show you up. (And if you dress up, I can probably sell dance tickets to the ladies for you, too!)

Dark Master you honor us with your evil presence. You have been too long absent from such festivities, would that your pale and beautiful Angelina could be here with us once again. I promise you the finest wine the most willing prey. Welcome Darlink Dark One, to the ball.

Ed,

By the looks of that picture I see the stake is rare. I prefer my steak well done and no ketchup for dressing. I'll settle for no less than A-1. Enjoyed the mixture of chilling, passion and humor. Excellent write. Blessings Always, Paul.
PS. Sorry about the blessings I know you undead don't want to hear that kind of talk. (lol)

Reaaaaally trying not to run screaming in fear...this is a terrifying dark write...but the ending has me ROTF...well done, Ed. You can keep the arachnids, though *cringe*.
