Darkness bleeds sorrow
Across time and starless skies
Moon fades away
I open the closet door where your treasures are kept. I gaze upon them, this cherished collection of fabrics and memories. There hangs the leisure suit of blue you wouldn't part with even after it became more outdated than crew cuts, the sports jerseys you wore with pride, the leather jacket presented to you years ago emblazoned with your company's logo, and those overalls of red, white, and blue that will always bring me smiles. And there too are those sneakers I once called 'empty shoes walking nowhere' but I realize that really isn't true because they still walk straight to my heart.
Light embraces the night
Warmth and stars return to skies
Once veiled in darkness
