WE THE PEOPLE
All are vested uniquely. Sensibilities and fragrances no one else have been given. No two are alike. Commingling the colors and nuances of each life, Light brushes uniqueness into each expression. Fingerprint reflections. Gifted hearts afire; all given the curiosity to delve beyond the limitations of acquired arrogance. Sadly, We the People are faltering.
.
Greed suspends reason
When a rational man’s thoughts
become self-centered
.
The lust to have more
At the expense of all else,
Some fools gulp it down
.
Dark times lie ahead,
The things we thought we needed
May cause our demise
.
CLEAN THE HOUSE
Move the furniture. Underneath and behind everything; a buildup of dust. Desiccated bugs lie unnoticed in the cracks between the carpet and the wall. Under the toe-kick, the marble floor is sticky. The HVAC filters are clogged. There’s decarbonated grease in the oven. It smells like somethings burning when you bake. Time to clean the house.
.
With somber resolve
Some chose to accept the task,
The path becomes clear
.
First, a strategy
To get out the cleaning tools,
And change the filters
.
Then, sweep the carpets
And steam all the marble floors,
Next, scrub the coving
.
Lastly, take the books
From dusty shelves and clean them,
Then, wipe the bindings
.
Wholesome clarity requires breaking habits to see what hides from view. Remaining authentic requires removing everything from its place (at times) to clean what cannot be seen. Healthy minds always seek a fresh orientation to avoid brain barnacles, synaptic jellyfish, creative sameness, wearisome constancy, hateful arrogant interaction with others, and lack of variety.
.
Some days I prefer
The emptiness between words
More than the colors…

A NEW RACE OF HuMANS
When I saw WE THE PEOPLE...OMG!!!
First, I learned what a "coving" was...and so glad that I did.
THEN the metaphorical brilliance of how you compared the mind with the house, and the soul with the behaviors that can attempt to hide the truth about what's actually a reality that so many refuse to address....my friend, all I can say is:
YOU NAILED THIS!!!! Blessings,
Returning to the Den sooner than most may realize with a couple of books on the front burner, ready to go.
So appreciative of your soul.
Blessings,
