Night desends on shadowed air
A chain of stars in her hair
The moon like a flower in bloom
Set against her brow
And peeking from the dusky gloom
Of ebony locks...
The soothing chime of nature's song
In hushed before the break of dawn
The chirping cricket choir
Silenced in the witching hour
Time stops...
Mother nature shuts her eyes
And every creature lies
Asleep within a nest
To dream a while and rest
I hear a voice...
From this queit hour I hear a word
From the voice thats seldom heard
A gentle mummer of a sound
That leaves me awed and spellbound
And I rejoice...
At this strange hum
That gives me joy to overcome
And stand stead-fast in power
Throughout my darkest hour
And be still...
Mother nature rises from her bed
Shakes the dew from her head
The world brusts forth in song
In greetings of the dawn
And I feel...
Alive and refreshed
In knowing I am blessed
To stand in morning mist
While sweet tears of bliss
Run down my cheek
My bare feet
Cool and wet
Beneath a kiss...
