We bought Facebook at its much lauded opening at $30 a share. Two weeks later we sold because it was $26 and dropping. Planned to buy back when it was lower in the future. Never bought it back. However, on February 2 at $232 a share, our investment would have, if $100, grown to $773.33. Even after the disastrous 26% drop last week would still leave us with a nice gain of $721.80. Still a nice bundle.
The lesson, invest early on new technology and then be patient and let it grow.
