Ok all--sad but true . Picture this—a manipulative type—needs a lot of attention. We listen, because we see a person hell-bent on vengenance, after her. We calm the person down and save her--only to learn that a lie she told about that person caused all the trouble in the first place! Then, unbelievably, she does it again to somebody else! Need I say more?

Which is the truth--
Are you in pain?
Or is this another plea
For attention?
The last time we came
To your aid
You screamed like you were dying…
And we saved you
From a ticked off
Revenge seeker.
This time I think
The pain is coming from your conscious…
We see no mad mob
Or evil entity poised to strike.

A pretense you’ve created
Is about to cost you something dear…
In which case
We can’t,
Won’t help you…
Because we warned you
That lies have subtle,
Veiled costs—
Too expensive for most of us to pay
Habitually.
That’s why WE speak our truth—
Even when it hurts.
Now our hearts are safeguarded
From your pleas;
Our eyes shielded from your antics;
good job! yes, it is so hard sometimes to know if one is truly in need or not

Really fine write about a down to earth person to person issue. I like to help those I can, put out the fires. But when fires are fueled by a crazy heart or mind I run! There are many others that need a hand and will use it for their betterment.
Very lean and to the point. I would love to learn more about communicating so directly.

So true and this hurts a bit, because a person I know left my best friend and is spreading lies about him. Such people must be pitied but I doubt if we can save them from themselves. They will eventually suffer and who know blame God for it. Victor
