What happens when the fantasies we use for eascaping the real world enter into it?

When I started this game, twas with much trepidation.
Evil an anti-thesis to my soul.
Clumsy and awkward movement and preparation.

Then in the heat of one battle, I knew.
How to think, be and act outside of myself.
So let me tell you how G grew.

She was grand, regal and proud; always well dressed.
Power driven to the extreme, sharp as a tack.
Acid in her soul and honey on her lips, her goals met with success.

Fanciful daydreams, nightmares of fright
turn real, on my screen.
An epic tale of courage and might.

Next, with awareness, I did make a test.
I broke off another piece of my mind, and naming it E
She could do as she felt best.

Flighty and charming, dragon kin ways
she stole hearts, kisses and baubles
Men were her prey.

She primped and she preened
Blew kisses and listened to tale after tale
None ever guessed she was once a true fiend

But alas out of boredom another did grow
So mean and abrasive and decietful was N
Deals and trades were her great love you know

The moon for a mistress, heart black as coal
Lies and promises nothing more than whims
Some would say body and mind were not whole

So far that makes three minds sharing my own
Four's getting crowded in here...
But still not enough, we reach the danger zone.

To bring storms of vengeance upon the whole world
Came D from the sea, chaotic and twirly
She used the lands, her fury unfurled

Only one was bold, calling for her, never in fear
When, as a dragon, she circled over head
Swooping in low, a ride for her knight so dear.

Of menace and fright I soon grew weary
W's fresh and new face did slowly appear
Riches untold in the shadows, her theory

Lockpicks her tools, stealth her trade
Wrapped in shadows approaching her prey
Springing forth fast with sure blade

Above all of this, Im happy to say
A friend did appear, golden haired
And turned her days from work to play

Five and a resident mind, six altogether,
Until the next break when number seven joins in
I'll welcome her warmly, always room for another

Sandy's interpretation is so on the mark its spooky. All of these characters were created originally for NWN (neverwinternights). Some of them are still alive and kicking, always available to me when I simply must experience the world through their eyes for a bit. Thanks, both of you, for the encouraging reviews!

This one reminds me of those video games that each of us designs our own life in the game. We live one day at a time, save the day, and then continue on the following day, and then save it again...

Totally awesome! Of course, we can live however we want to live inside that game.

A very thought-provoking write!!!
