it's always fun when the family can be together..
Happy in the traditions That every Yule-time brings The family gathers together With turkey and other things The festivities are quite eclectic Eccentricities in the air The table set, the corners called God and Goddess, all are there The story of the shepherd boy Who brought the Christ his lamb Is read to all the children Over pumpkin pie and yam The Yule is recollected And everybody partakes Even the crusty old patriarch Offers his sweet wine and some cakes As clean-up begins in our house A chorus can soon be heard 4 to 5 part harmonies Even if we don�t remember the words Dona Nobis and Swing Low Hark the Hearald Angels sing Perhaps a Celtic Lullabye Or the one about the Faery Ring The house is filled with music And that one day is filled with hope Though we are Christians and we are Pagans We are a family filled with Love

Many "Christian" beliefs have their roots in Pagan traditions, Christmas being one of them.

I will fit in nice with your mix. I am Wiccan, so I will be sitting with your pagans. I will lead a prayer, "An' it harm none, do what ye will," and the song will be A Circle of Stone. The house, as you say will be an intermix of religion and much love. Thanks for bringing us all together, Kristian. Happy Holidays to you and your family.

For one day anyway. LOL True, the spirit of Christmas has usuually brought friend and foe together for good tidings, etc., that's why I am so angre at the attempt to hijack the "Merry Christmas" slogan. Love the poem.
