Dear Readers: This poem-story, sadly, is based on a true and recent incident near where we live.
Big ocean waves roared
Onto the shore
Bathers were laughing,
Splashing galore
Three children wandered
Out way too far
Thatīs when the Master
Made each a star.
Pain hit the parents
Tearing their hearts
Pain that the Master
Knows from the cross
The only healing
Must bow to time
The only closure
Must be divine.
So sad a write, but things do happen like this. I have a friend whose grandson died out in a pond in their backyard. Such terrible stories I can tell, but they are made into stars by Jesus at the end.
Where were the parents when these kids were dying?
Not saying accidents don't happen; but as a parent my kids don't go out of my reach!
I'm Probably a little over protective, but this is why.
Very sad!
Lovely tribute to these now sparkling stars. I might send this to my youngest brother who's precious two year old became one in a similar accident not so long ago...
