The wellspring of a trickle,
From an open cave,
A mouth wide open space,
Innocent in it’s beginning, and still fickle,
Then through life it wanders deeper,
The waters pick up speed and other,
Just barely has it left its mother,
Just barely has it wet its feed,
Edges, bends, obstructions in its flow,
More volume, speed, and eddies too,
Along its way through all does chew,
Forever new, yet old, and yet to know,
From earthen fare, and then the all,
From heaven high and cloudy sky,
From birth, until you die,
Back to the sea and mountains high,
All life is nourished thus, and free,
All creatures, grass, and tree,
All life, and then reverses thus,
Can we not learn and see?©27/01/2017
