Off the top of my head; written in less than 10 minutes.
It isn't good, it doesn't even make sense, but hopefully I'll come up with something better in the future (my profile is just so bare!)
You ask me who my hero is
I tell you I've only one.
His name is Gary Cooper
And he's my super trooper!
I fell in love while watching 'Deeds'
Now I just can't get enough.
I beg and plead, "Oh give me please,
A man like Deeds ontop a steed!"
You can keep your other fellas swanky
But me I like 'em lanky!
Six foot three, two eyes of blue, can run a lengthy mile!
He'll draw his gun and ask for a smile
So don't you dare try calling him that
People stop and think I'm nuts
They say I'm off my rocker.
But if I hear that just once more
I'll sock 'em in the kisser!
I guess I'll have to learn for good
That everyone is different
I can't help it if I'm 106 years late!
I only wish that I could find a mate like Gary Cooper.
Well written piece you have penned here. Interesting though, Gary Cooper was my mothers hero too, henceforth she named my brother Gary too! Enjoyed the write.....
There she goes, aiming to expose. Yea Cooper; if the shoe fits, what was that famous tag line of his, Betty, Betty , Betty, or something like that. North by Noerthwest was a great flick and the early ones with, geez I can't think of that scrawny actress's name; she had a thing for Spencer tracy, oh well.
