“...Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail. - Ralph Waldo Emerson - Picture: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
And now, at dawn, I found the fog
Slept thick on desert floor
Or on a sandy shore...
Grasping a highway no more...
Though there was one
Back home it’s wintry snow
Not here, just a watery gray mist...
Until the sun breaks through with a kiss
As the haze fades from casting a sheet
I am reminded who God’s earth is awakened from sleep
A mere minute or two we see the bright day...
fresh bathing of cool hot rays
When we pull the cover from the land
there the warm weather glowing stand...
If I say, “Nothing to it,” if I sit down a glow
And say, “Drive anyway, others know,”
Or do they?
Who hears me? And in what language...?
The desert floor waves like an ocean. And like an ocean
it is endless....
Now, a worker carries on with construction one steel upon another steel rod...
Building one tall building in a sea of girded steel
Built up from the desert floor
For me, another sand tale, just one more...
