the mind

so filled with thoughts, feelings, ideas

I\We are not these minds

we have a mind

why must IT  be so controlling, demanding

insisting...all the time

wants, desires, filtered judgements

delayed perceptions, interpretations

how can reality be experienced

when the Mind constantly interrupts?

stepping back without moving at all

shifting the gaze, eye awareness within watches

who is now watching?

where is this watching?

the analysing returns, with each question

interrupting interpretations ….. the mind insists

the mind must respond, its very function and purpose

unable to NOT perceive

laughing at its conundrum

all the while, the Self quietly exists and creates it all

I think therefore I am not awake.
Love this, our thoughts are like watching clouds, peace is welcoming the clouds, but letting them go, too. Ye ole sayin... Birds fly overhead, no need to allow them to build nests in your head. Or summat like that.

I like this thoughtful meditation, Debby. I am constantly caught myself in this web of confusing what I think with what I am. An interesting dialogue the two always create, that's for sure! :) xx

This mind isn't waiting around or stalling, it is constantly creating new ideas which must be captured before they are lost in the fog of memory.

Stabbing Pencey Boudreaux by Mary Lynn Plaisance

A poignant story about letting go of a narcissist in your life. Have you ever been attacked FULL force by a narcissist? It's the closest thing to being stabbed over and over in the back.
