For an Armistice Day booklet, published by Keith Murray, Aberdeen. November 2013
a figure stands soldiered against the sky, surveys the ground he’s made he’s lost he’s dug such small pieces of ground back home home ground in his eyes, mounds of drying soil fill rooms with dark suited dust, back yards remembered looking up a figure kisses palms watches clouds gather, enemies advancing hearts on spears, gaining such small pieces of ground a figure falls foetal against the mud, concentrates into a comrades arms, as light fades he becomes just another small piece of ground

I enjoyed reading your well-written poem about the soldiers. especially the verses a figure falls foetal against the mud, concentrates into a comrades arms, it describes the scenery in full
and complete descriptive details. Have A Great Day.
