will the Troops know this country, when they come home from war?
One hundred and forty thousand troops are overseas and I understand their plea. But, while they are gone there is a waging war at home. Computer Technology workers have lost their jobs. Jobs to Immigrants from India who get paid for less. American Nurses are laid off of work, to be replaced by Russian Nurses. Children go to school to receive Certificates, instead of Diploma's. Even the rich can't afford the furniture being made overseas and touched up here at home by Americans. The jobs are being lost at an alarming rate. Adults are forced to enter fields they have no clue about. They train for two years in Computers and Biology in hopes of feeding their families'.

I concur with Karen - what exactly are we fighting for if we are giving our country to other nations that don't give a rip about us (unless they have a disaster)? Sad...powerfully penned, Sandra.

Karen hit the nail... I agree with her. I'm surprised about the nurses. Seems over the years there's always been a constant shortage. Since I'm not living there at the moment... Thanks for sharing.

Will they recognize what they left behind, if it is still there when they return? Perhaps they will begin to wonder exactly what was it they were fighting for in the first place. God bless our troops always, they deserve our support. It is the government and policies made that should be in question....
