My brother, been dead for thirty years, and I still miss him like yesterday!

I still miss you deeply brother Earl.
More than things I do or-
words could every say!
It is like the night without the stars,
or the light without the day!
I miss you even at night time,
and I love you more each day!
Love never ends nor death take love away!
You were truly a brother to me,
climbed mountaintops for victory!
You called our mom the old bird,
and loved her every sense of the word.
You loved your sisters Sandy and Toni,
Stood tall for them and weren't no phony!
You walked talked and were a black king.
Sent to us by the Lord God supreme!
God He took you too and through,
US Army 82nd Airborne,
jumping out of planes with honor not scorn
You breeze through school like,
the wind in the trees,
and you renewed your faith,
often down on your knees!
Earl you fought bravely for America!
For us so willing to give all your life,
against all odds and all enemies,
in our world plaque with strife!
In this world because of your space,
our world is safer a much better place!
I still miss like yesterday brother Earl
more than any words can ever say,
hopefully , I'll see you in heaven,
when we're set free on judgement day!
