Happy Memorial day and Veterans Day.
All soldiers we truly honor You.
You give all to your country!
Yes even the ones that died gave all!
We are all responsible,
to take care of the wounded ones!
Watery graves and the American wave,
deep mire, mud, murk and sckly slime,
here are some of the bravest soldiers,
Vietnam brother's of chapter 9!
Rice paddies often waist high,
booby traps exploding kids,
Often the enemy was elusive,
we weren't proud of what we did!
It was them or be blown up,
we didn't enjoy killing kids!
Leeches, mosquitoes, ticks,
snakes, sime varmints can't name.
Along with mortor fire overhead,
we're bless to be alive and sane!
The Vietcong looked like the terrain,
hard to shoot at and get a good aim!
113 degrees or sweat dripping,
jungles in jungles rubber trees cocaine,
some had to get high or go insane!
High or not war is the same,
what's ironic we stayed in the game.
Chapter 9 and all soldiers we thank you.
A while longer we can stay free,
and not shudder in the night,
from Vietnam samll victory!

And to so many who didn't want to go in the first place, but were drafted because the country's leaders could not entice enough soldiers to join the ranks with mere chivalry and patriotism.
