We honor and celebrate those who died at Pearl Harbor!
We are thankful to God and them that we are alive today!
It is cold outside and in the twenties,
this kind of cold early for December.
Trademarks of Spring past gone,
embedded in memories of,
many gladsome summers.
What we are remembering now,
Japans attack on Pearl Harbor,
December 7, 1941 horrible!
We honor our gallant soldiers,
who lost their lives on land,
and at sea those watery graves!
America's flag stood then,
and it still hovers in the wind today!
We have a great God we can call on,
depend on and be there for us.
We fall short sometimes as sinners!
God loves us and delivers us,
he remembers we are but dust,
His masterpieces blown into esistence!
Russia is ready to invade Ukraine to possible results like Pearl Harbor… World War III.
But here in Houston it's balmy, the next two days to set records with highs of 81° and 83°. Why I left the North where I can't handle the cold while paralyzed.
A young sailor wasn't identified after that day of infamy. But a young woman here in Texas, knew her brother was there and missing, so she mounted a campaign to get her brother back. About five years ago, his remains were finally identified, probably by DNA. Yesterday, 80 years later, he came home to Winnie, Texas and was buried along with his mother and father in the family plot. He was accompanied by a full honor guard of the Navy as fitting his being there attempting to fight back at overpowering Japanese air power.
