“Wide Eyes Open Shut”

 Just like yesterday amazingly today

It’s read at opposing into what I say

Multitudes reading this having no clue

coming or going--wondering what is

this she’s knowing?

The light shines and through its wisdom,

answers from the universe are given. Are

you looking for explanations to understand?

Then watch and listen you multitude who

sleep in the dust of the land.

Crooked crosses flying the skies 110

degrees high. They are running, crawling,

scaling walls and diving to their death, while

hollow winds blowing the dust of fire,

taking your breath.

Right before the eyes, blood filled stars fell

from the sky, leaving mystery in the

wondering whys. Running in the city

during the day dark as night, searching for

the blue that’s kind of white.

The fading sounds of life and hope from

those many within. Through the halls you

hear the hell groans begin. Many still shaken

and still in pain, from the ground blood crying

up in vain.

Afraid of the sights that has become, the heart

beats in the city streets hiding behind the sounds

of the drum. Faces cold, cracked and dismay

wondering what happen to their light of day.

Searching out comfort and shelter to find none,

everywhere you look you trying to run;

consciously placed under the gun. Traveling

aguish inside the head unsaid, wanting from

amongst this living dead.

Revelations in the book written from generations

long ago, explaining the demonic forces

lurking to over throw. So awake! You multitude

who sleep and get life from behind the surface to keep.

I loved what you wrote here,"Right before the eyes, blood filled stars fell from the sky, leaving mystery in the wondering whys."
I marvel at your talent, when left to your devises, you always shine.
The images in the poem are stark yet vivid and clear, last days of time I muse.
