Came to me laying in the bed, this limerick, when nigh all expressions and intrusions to stop it, the mind wanders to points previously unheard of until then, like a child crossing the street, simply we must go there.
There once was a priest from Baltimore,
Who I confess, was a bit of a bore.
He started duckpin bowling,
Now that is some holy-rolling,
Now the poor Father is a bore no more!
I once set pins in a Catholic bowling alley. I'm surprised they didn't sell booze. After two years working in the place, I never saw a single priest. I guess there were no young boys bending over… Just some beautiful ladies.
