I used to get upset with people who would "rush" the Christmas season. Maybe it's all the work we have done on our Christmas cantata---this poem came to me this afternoon.
I enjoyed the journey you brought me along on through this poem. The words carried me back to that amazing night so long ago.

I try to enjoy all of life as it comes. Our outdoor decorations and the indoor trees, as we put up and decorate two, one in the den and one in the living room. They are all put up based on birthdays because the children used to ask to have the tree up for their birthday and I would try to accommodate. Even though the children are grown and on their own, the tradition continues. It is more like holding on and savoring the moment rather than rushing the season along. For the one true man who changed the course of history, his birth is worth savoring....
I too rushed the season this year. Kids put tree up here in apt and I decorated table etc this morning. Early, but last year I was not in a good mood to have much at christmas, this year is different and I'll enjoy Christmas more, making it last longer in fact. nice verse here those wisemen were lucky to see baby jesus in person. Great night that was for them.
