Sorry about the lonely Mark - that's a sad part of being alone-- I try to keep three hobbies going knowing that someday I'll be the same. Tired of working on a book , I switch to poetry, mostly humor, and try to keep my guitar going. your command of words I like . a very good job.thanks for posting, lefty

How very true. How many times when my computer is not working or the 4 weeks in rehab that I didnt have excess to a computer it really upset me that I couldnt talk to my friends on line, or go into my poetry forums. Wonderfully done Markie

Love this one Mark!! Everyone can relate to a lonely day, you look everywhere and no one can play...Computers have become our best friends and when they are down we become lost and don't know what to do. I think having a lonely day without internet is good for the soul. Step outside and become one with nature. I pray for a lonely day when I can just sleep and eat junk food in bed lol...I am happy to see you are back online cause I would have missed you!! Your friend ~Chessly

Look on the bright side, your carrier now owes you a rebate, unless of course you computer actually crapped out and now you can get a new one and deal with the re-creation of all your cookies and address book reconstructing, and praying that your last backup preserved what you really want. Whew. . .it's true of me too. When I can't use the computer, the angst hits hard. Read "The Machine Stops" by E.M. Forster (written around 1912)--frightening foresight!

Ah! Poor fellow...I understand.It's amazing how "hooked" on computers we tend to be. But once you do get back on line, you have lots of friends out here in cyberland, Mark! Enjoyed your poem...loved the lyrical lilt...you write lyrical poetry very well...another side of Mark!

I know the feeling old buddy, my main computer bit the dust about a month ago and as I am too broke to take it to a shop took it to a buddy of mine who is great but always busy. Meantime I am on this little notepad computer hoping it don't fry from me using it so much lol

I think these days, everyone in the WORLD can relate. I know when my computer is not online, I feel helpless and completely lost. It's crazy that it has come to that. Great poem!

I know how you feel! Although I had a lonely day, it was fun. I spent the day just dancing around the house by myself to one of my old John Denver albums! Anyway, It's a great poem I can relate to, Mark~
