True Love
From the depths of most gloomy melancholy-
To the extravagant omnipotent state of bliss:
Dare I dream beyond this fate of mine?
Crossing endless tides, awaiting love's first kiss.

A mere soul could never attain such beauty,
So how has this angel entered my life?
A new day beckons a change in my want-
Never more then now I beg she to become my wife.

Fiendish the grin I often carry,
For my passions inflamed by desire.
Righteousness I abide to keep her in,
For her I would cross the pitted fire.

I am now bound to but only one other;
Blessed of unity possessed by the divine-
From Venus's raging envious contempt:
Thus the heavens become her shrine.

Splendor surpassed by what may not be seen;
Benevolence created from her charm and grace-
Thoughts of once simple days-
Remnants of better those better times and place.

Comforting as womb to unborn child,
She soothes my fury with her glazen charm:
With sincerity immersed from gentle breast-
Delivering me safely from what once did harm.

How this love could have taken me so;
How every breath is not my own,
How this could have been in waiting,
How with this love I have grown!
