The worst part is, you think you've finally made me happy.

I know EXACTLY this of which you share via your verses, Kacie. And yes, sadly, as John has written, it is a universal and ever present theme in this world/life. I find your poem achingly poignant and meaningful. I wish you love and my very best sentiments are expressed to you.
