Liked the sentiment to the lines... Of course, you wrote this circa 2003... I was reading and the last two line caught me... "We thank you all, for men and women like you that made liberty"... Thanks for sharing...

Excellent poem. My prayers and respect go out to those brave people who are fighting for freedom. My own country's commitment is a source of shame to me. Protesters who act our in civil disobedence are also a shame to our country.

I couldn't have said it any better Jack,

"You fight the fight for freedom
And you do your country proud

In which freedoms not allowed"

Excellent poem and make sure when you send it to that soldier you include all your reviews so he can see that other people agree with you. We are all proud of our men and women fighting for freedom.

Jack, they do make us so proud. Young as they are going forward to fight and die for their country. And all we can do is give them support and love and pray for them. How can Americans protest while they are dying for us? Protesting will not stop the war until it is ready to end. There must be other ways to help our service personnel.
How many hearts will have to break before the war is over. We all want it to stop.
But they believe in their cause and are fighting and dying for it. God love them.
