"A dark place where a living dead one haunts"

Poem Artwork

Transcendental Sonnet #1347:
The One Who Got Away

The greatest gift one I once loved gave me
Though I could not discern it in the dark
Was when she tired of me and set me free

Rejection serving as a start if stark
Of freedom which I never would have found
Had I remained what I know now as bound

Within a spider's web of poisoned lies
Suspended paralyzed with other flies
Who still bound are less fortunate than I

The one who got away rejected fly

She will consume them whenever she wants
And I would be digested now unless
Cast out from that web of her bitterness

A dark place where a living dead one haunts

Wow, I was going to go to bedzzz, but- I had to take another peek into YOUr world.. that you chose to share with us.. Everywhere.... This is nuttts, I need my sleep- without it, I will get the creeps.. hee,hee... I love this...
Stevie... you dont' mind - do you, I scooped up your spider pic.. before- I read your Sonnet *( which I have to get use to that style of writing-different) I wrote for the pic. LadySpider.. and then in your poem- I saw etc. Just know-- all the spiders *( female) out here/there- are not out for Keeps of the Soul and individuality- Some just want to keep there own.I want to say more, but I am tired and I can't think straight. THIS is damn good writing, Mr. Lance. I like your moody, dark, style.
