People have hurt you as they desert you

Your tender heart feels hardened now my friend

But should you someday find your way to me

Then I would bring you home where sorrows end

That you might know the truth to make you free

So that your heart and eyes need never spend

Another night of loneliness and tears

For I would love you well and harrow hell

To lift that heart to feel those eyes to see

Beyond those hurts to hopes freed from those fears

Of love and loss which darken your young years

 

Today your heart feels closed and far away

But someday you will see what love can be

You bud to bloom again another day

My heart is true and I will wait for you

In my heart there is room for you to bloom

My heart will hear what your heart has to say

None can desert you there where none can hurt

Come home when you are ready come and stay

With me and find your home where sorrows end

My love my child my sister and my friend

Whenever you are ready: come to me
