I was followed by a shadow all the way home
sometimes he was beside me
would not leave me alone.
I tried to out run him
hid behind a bush
but he was having none of that
and hid with me as well.
I was sure I had him licked,
as I walked the underpass,
then when I emerged
he was there waiting on the otherside.
Its not that I am unfriendly
just need my space sometimes
and shadow seems to be attached to me
which can be a bind.
I guess he is my soul mate
and lets leave it there
at least he never cheeks me
and as a friend he's always here.
