We all use the word if, yet sometimes, what if?

Poem Artwork

Sometimes I wish for daydreams

those things that are really

out of reach,

yet I will not let those dreams go

for if I could be

just for a moment live them

I would love to be Peter Pan.

Fly above the roof tops

high over London town,

watch from on high

as the buses roll by

laugh out aloud amid the freedom

I have found.

It would be so surreal

to fly along Regent Street

wave to Eros at Piccadilly

the sit up on high

with Lord Nelson

oh if only those daydreams were real.

To be Peter Pan

is not just a dream

it is wild escape from reality

that moment when

what if comes alive

and daydreaming can last forever.

Great poetic thoughts John!Peter Pan was one of my favorite cartoon characters growing up. No I mean, I never wanted to grow up. Not me...
