HE CAME UPON A MIDNIGHT CLEAR...on a winter's SILENT AND HOLY NIGHT. ANGELS HEARD ON HIGH alerted SHEPHERDS IN A FIELD ABIDING...and THREE KINGS FROM ORIENT followed A STAR BRIGHTLY SHINING to A LITTLE TOWN OF BETHLEHEM. There in a stable they found Him...a babe lying AWAY IN A MANGER. They were strangers to His parents yet, with their gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh...them and all the FAITHFUL CAME TO ADORE HIM. And amidst the HERALD ANGELS SINGING, a LITTLE DRUMMER BOY gave all he had...he beat his drums for Him - he beat his best for Him. And the babe grew to become a man and died for us. Who is He...do you know?

Who is this man?! *who with no place to lay His Head* *was born in a stable ...then wrapped* *in swaddling cloths and laid in a manger?!* Who is this man?! *who had angels singing at His birth* *as three magi bearing gifts sought Him* *yet, He was..King of Kings?!* Who is this man?! *that has captured so many hearts* *and has rescued countless lives* *renewing them...inside and out?* Who is this...Bulwark of Power?! *that one day strode into our 'space'* *refusing to leave...and can rule our wills...* *our minds and our very souls...but lets us decide?!* Who is this man?! *so valiant, who ever defends us* *that stands guard at that 'delicate' bridge* *which separates...our sanity from insanity?*** This man- *dissolves our fears* This man- *died for us but, He lives!* This man- *is more than a friend* This man...keeps...every one of His promises! *Who is He?...Do you know?!?* *Mich 5:2-4* *Lk 2:25-35* *copyright: 12/15/2009(edited 2018) - jmsbell*

Jesus was a wonderful man, an earthy man like MLK, who dreamed he could provide a better life for all. But, like his church, the simple message he sent has been profaned into institutions and power struggles.

I am who I am...the self-existent eternal God who sought us out and purchased us with His blood to be His own peculiar people!
You have written a powerful, Spirit-filled poem that magnifies the greatest Being to inhabit reality! I cheered and my heart lept within me as I read this anthem of praise! Joyce, this is so timely for my family and I. Just yesterday morning we received an unexpected blessing from the Lord that helped change the Christmas that our 10 year old had. Then, as if that weren't enough, this Christmas morning, we received what we thought was some bad news. For about an hour we let it get to us and then I finally said, "Let's turn it over to God, we can't deal with this." Like a bolt out of the blue, God took it over and within another hour the problem took care of itself better than we expected it might and better than it was prior to the problem.

"Who is He?" He is and always was our Lord and Savior. Yesterday and today, for us, He was a miracle worker.

"Who is He?" He is GOD !
