In today's society there lacks humanity,

social injustices upon too many lives;

where social consciousness has died;

hunger famine and greed rampant

across the globe...

equality a long-lost freedom to lower

and middle-class life; power in hands

of the affluent as they rebuke redemption

for less fortunate citizens of society,

adding insult to injury as they face

betrayal by government...

overcrowding in shelters where no

manner of dignity is viable, huddled

in masses or cornered by a bully society;  

being robbed of the only coupe de grace

"Pride" as the richplay in the lap of luxury

and they wallow in derelict squalor...

forgotten as no-one refills their quivering

handed tin cup and impatient shows in

their facial expressions; while a single coin

is dropped with disdain as if, the highway

of life gives them road rage to impart some

semblance of humanity...

it's like murder in the first degree as they're

robbed, treated like a junkie nodding on a street

corner, but, not thoughtless or clueless to societies

callus treatment to their plight and each slight

minimized, doesn't subside until the hand of a

savior, Jesus ascends to open their hearts and minds;

it is then the unkindhearted ask to be saved...

fore, they were lost in disbelief of higher powers to be...

looking down on the poor poverty stricken side of

society as parasites; until their lives are inconvenienced

and guilt eats at them as death looks them in the face,

but it isn't until then that compassion and humanity reeks

through their pores, raining charitable gifts like candy as,

if, it's their rebirth to feel for societies less fortunate wanting

to show compassion...
