My Milky Way You are like the Milky Way to me To love from a distance You are out there so bright But unable to touch You shine on clear starlight nights But vanish by the movement of a cloud If only I could reach you If only I could touch you If only I could feel you In the darkest dark of nights If only I could shine within But as soon as dawn has come around You are gone till sundown falls Shine Milky Way shine on me To brighten my dark at night Milky Way lover I love you so Like the arches of your light You can make my heart bright Let the universe of love and beauty Be there for you and me My milky Way Do stay By day Copyright ©2004 Tinka Boukes
