Deep Within The Void

As I sit here

Back within the abyss of my senses

To think things over

Heat of the moment

Leaving flames upon my cheeks

Alone

With only my deepest thoughts

Thoughts of wasted days and nights

Anxious to do something positive

Arranging books and note pads

Sharpening pencils several times

For many days now

I had been gathering a few thoughts

But had been waiting

For the right moment

To pen them down

I did not sleep much the nights before

My thoughts went to places

So very far from here

As I thought about many things

Most of the time it was about you

And every time

The moon was growing pale

With a feint light in the east

Even then my thoughts were deep

But when the sun

Started to show face each day

Still wide awake

The smile just died

And only left

A small choking sound

Deep within the void

Dearest Tinks,

awwww you have made me cry with this, I feel your pain and hurt. An eloquent write Tinks and so full of raw emotion. The sun does shine, and the moon will glow with absolute brightness.

warm hugs and love

This is a sad one, missing someone does hurt. Unfortunately it's a part of life, we must all experience. I hope it is short-lived void.

Take care

sadness permeates this poem yet it is so eloquently written i found myself absorbed in its cryptic passionate plea ...

Sometimes that is all there is, Tinka. Sometimes it is difficult to keep on keeping on. But you will because you have heart.
