This is very real. Stuff like this happens everyday. I don't know if it's happening to you but if it is get help. And whomever the addict/alcoholic is he/she needs to get help too.

that is how an abuser works, they say they'll never do it again but they always do. and when they do, it's never their fault, something or someone caused them to act out. You need to get out. I know you have heard that time and again, but its true. One day, it will be too late. Get out while you can.

I'm thrilled that you immortalized these bruises as they will forever remind you that the next step you take is freedom . We see what is evident and now you know what is reality...deal with it and close the door. When you feel sorry for the perpatrator...look at the pictures again and they will remind you of the terror that no real love gives to a relationship. I know...I was there.
