Sorry for not reading you guys out there...been without power for two days now...falling trees and heavy rains are the main problem....we are flooding awayyyy...okay!!

********

Power & Love

She turned her head for one last look

As sirens scream in her ears tonight

Announcing another’s fate

Within the darkness

Of this darkest night

Just rain

And more falling trees to count

No power…

Lines embraced by bark

Now spaced out in utter grayness

Without words talking to herself

Just wanting to tell you

Until we meet again

How much I love you sweetheart

Before it’s too late

Sweetheart your heart shines bright

Even through these darkest nights

Tinka,

Send us some of that rain; we wouldn't mind; TRUST me. We can't buy any moisture!!!!!! Just hot, hot, hot...and I'm afraid to see what my next power bill will be. *cringe*

And an excellently, emotionally charged write. *sorry, couldn't resist* LOL You write divinely, Tinka.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

Tinks,

Mebbe you can send us some of that stuff (but NOT the flooding; I can't swim! LOL)! Here's hopin' for drier (and sunnier) weather soon, and hope you get your lights back! Not good! You are in my prayers today!!

Wonderful write! Very well done; brava!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in dry, hot Texas (we are beggin' for relief from this damned heat! ARRGGGH!!), Karen Lynn. :(

Funny how the darkness and rain can leave us feeling powerless. Yet love always comes shining through when we need it most.

Can you tread water?
Isn't this weather just crazy all over the world?

Nice work, Tinka.

This is eerily lovely, Princess Tinka........just had similar storms today.........and more to come tonight. Thank God, I know you have good sound horse sense! That's a perfect picture of awareness, you chose. We are all covering you in prayer - be safe!

Sorry to hear you are trapped in a monsoon down there Tinka, no fun without power after the novelty wears off, and we can't use tele or computer. Hope all is returned to normal soon. Great write and stunning images.

Bless you, Tinka, and be safe... this makes my heart beat so fast... don't know what's with me this evening... perhaps I need a pacemaker or somethin?? - I seem to find myself sayin this on nearly every poem... must be all the static electricity in the air and in your poetry! But that sudden sense of needing to communicate with the person uppermost on your mind when you are in danger and at a distance... that really speaks to me... think I fantasise about this scenario a lot. You bring the power of that storm and that passion right onto the page here. Take care and may the rains pass, the storm be stilled and calm be resumed with sunshine and a great sense of peace. The photograph is fantastic... the pony sees it all comin, don't she?? Love this - and you. Be well, d'ya hear?? LOL and prayers, Kate xx
