Alcohol addition is a demon call addition spirit, it's touch but you keep on being strong because there is one that will make you stronger his name is Jesus and if you put on that armor; the helmet of salvation, the buckle of truth, feet of peace, breastplate of righteousness, shield of faith and sword of the spirit, you can defeat him my dear.

It's not the beer, but the out of control drunk who needs his daily dose of beer to feel strong because he knows he is weak. A real man would problem kick the crap out of a drunk any day, and that just makes the drunk want to get even more drunk. Ughhhhh....it is a no win situation. Unless of course you can escape. Then you my dear, will be the winner!

A terrible demon, this one - I've sadly seen what it can do, far too many times.

Tinka, Girlfren', you know that demons want us to think they are stronger than the God who made us. If this is about you, or about someone you love. . . NOTHING, absolutely NOTHING will keep you down. . .so write it out, scream it out.. . and don't even try to beat this by yourself. A great and tense write...alcohol does lead to destruction, I have encountered my fair share of this demon or monster among family members. It drowns those that consume it as well as those who reap the results...I agree with CJ lean on friends, trust them, and lean on God...keep an open communication with him...there is power in prayer and the love of friends. Stay strong...

Alcoholism is a scourge, and will invariably lead to violence and self-abuse. Sadly, everyone around alcoholics suffer emotionally. It is a terrible beast that extracts a terrible price.

Sissy, you stand strong. Often words seem somewhat cliche' when you're dealing with evil spirits. I have seen this spirit destroy many good people in my life.

Oh yes, excessive alcohol is terrible. I'm ashamed to say I got drunk about four times in my life, mostly through no fault of my own, but the day after was terrible. Now I drink only some wine during lunch and a tot of whiskey on very cold nights, no habits though. Great poem but Tinka keep your spirits up and remember there is always a silver lining. You just have to be patient. Victor
