Shadowed Moon

I lift my head to watch you

So silently you glide

Through this cold winters night

Hiding your face high above

Cotton clouds so dark

Edged by a silver spark

Oh silent moon

Soon you will be out again

To shine upon my face

You always leave a spark in my eye

Like many times before

You will become dark again

To leave nostalgic thoughts behind

Of another time another place

A shadowed moon out of sight
