I hang upon a cross beside you Lord,
the woman and the sin...
I feel the salt of your tears -
and the torment you feel within.
How could God's children, your siblings...
your flesh and blood, be so brutally cold?
Destroying the man, destroying your temple -
but ne'er coming close to your soul.
And as my temple dies right there beside you Lord,
You take my hand in your hand and you say -
"For your gift of compassion and repentance,
you shall follow me all the way
from this world to my Father's great kingdom,
this shall end as a great, blessèd, glorious day.
And because you hold Faith in my death,
and my spirit's ascension to peace -
I will bless you forever, sweet child of mine...
I will give you eagle's wings to fly and be free."
Spiritually beautiful in the fullest sense of the word. An outstanding poem. I am so glad that you use your talent for the good of mankind. You are a loving and a gentle heart. We are lucky to have you at AD. God bless you and happy holidays. Bill Murray.
