Farewell Summer Days


Farewell to long, hot summer days,
You’ve presented yourself in many ways.


With flowers of color and any size,
A rose, of course, which won a prize.


With bugs and wasps and even bees,
Bet I’ll stay away from those trees.


With all that rapidly growing grass,
Cutting it all was really a task.


With sweat and dirt and all that dust,
Going to the beach was sure a must.


With showers and frogs; Oh how they croaked!
I forgot my umbrella ; now I’m soaked.


So, farewell to you hot summer days,
Fall is arriving; what do you say?
