Unnecessary Humility Takes a Vacation

Poem Artwork

The brilliant bimbo brigade

swoops down onto the crime scene,

investigating the sudden demise of their audience.

Thinking once again

they have discovered the secrets to the universe;

proclaiming without the benefit of Colombo

that the house is secure

now that death has sadly permeated some other hemisphere.

And instead of lamenting over the tragic loss of many lives,

some of which are still uncounted for,

the brigade clucks with glee -

death has shocked their world into silence...yippy.

Hush little baby – it is my privilege to provide you with

a dose of reality, mixed with tongue in cheek banter.

The truly free are not prisoners in your asylum

of unnecessary humility,

but are on vacation.

See you all next year,

or sooner if I like.

Sara, it’s a darn shame how all these people suffered needlessly and also the ones who perished in a blink of an eye. My heart aches for these folks. Hopefully our nation will provide the much-needed and urgent supplies for them to find some comfort during these overwhelming times, which of course, I’m quite sure we will. Our nation and proud people have always tried to help others in time of necessity. If only others would realize this, we might be able to have peace on this spinning blue dot. Have a safe Holiday and wonderful mini-vacation. Take good care and be well.

Ron, not sure what you mean....but then I cannot even imagine what it must be like to be in SE Asia right now. Perhaps it is a mixture of gratitude for being alive and intense pain for having survived. Actually, when I try to imagine what those people are going through I just break down and cry. Have you seen the video of people looking for their loved ones? Achhhh...to survive such an ordeal takes an immense amount of strength.

So while I am not one to pray - I will wish for great strength to all of the people's of SE Asia in their time in urgent need. ~ Sara

I waved at you. I did. I was the fourth guy in the seventh row, and I waved at you. I did.

..I think they are the prisoners in their own asylum...everybody else is outside looking in...
Wonder if they feel like they are being watched?

Enjoy your vacation Sara!
