When one is truly, honestly loved, they know inner peace and tranquility.
My six-year-old grandson came to hug me
And said, “Grandma, your love is no surprise;
I can see love in your eyes
When we part . . . say our good-byes.
You love me like no other;
In my heart, you’re my mother.”
It is true , we’ve raised him since he was born
Small, we held him in the palm of our hand
Watching him struggle to live
What else but love could we give?
We placed his life in God’s hand
Our miracle . . . understand?
When we count our blessings in daily prayers
We count God’s answers . . . we know that He answers prayers
And His love is no surprise
It’s in our grandson’s brown eyes
May it be there pure and free
Forever . . . internally
