Poem Artwork

Spring has returned. The Earth is like a child that knows poems. Rainer Maria Rilke

~Feathers And Roots~

The air is warm, the breeze is cool
As springtime crowns us April's fool
The days bring birds back to our trees
To weave their nests with expertise

Leaves of green from bright to deep
Push thru tree limbs that wake from sleep
Up from the earth our friends reach thru
From roots so old, to stems brand new

Everywhere the eye can see
Our earth reshapes, as it should be
Rehearsed yet new, the cycle spins
As winter rests and spring begins

A Moldie Oldie Poem

That picture is of my favorite rose bush in better seasons, time to go out and play dirty!

Without realizing it at first, Anita, I heard my mom reading this to me.. and it brought me to a state of bliss. Your rhyme and meter is flawless and sooooo fine! When spring is bursting from every poet's pen, you simply moved my heart entirely. New birth.. reawakening.. in a troubled world, I ache for what you've given me here. I do thank you.. this is simply pure beauty. katy xox.

I absolutely adore springtime. It is my favorite season of all. Unfortunately, in my neck of the woods, it has been rain rain rain. And the lilacs died way too soon. But still much better than winter, in my opinion. yuck. lol. this really is a lovely write...could almost smell the roses!

A Moldie Oldie? Me thinks a Goody Goody!

Lovely Ode to Spring, and lovely quote, Anita. Now go outside and play in the mud! It truly is good for the soul.
