There are thoughts which are prayers. There are moments when, whatever the posture of the body, the soul is on its knees.~Victor Hugo

THE POSTURE OF PRAYER

Life's an open sentence, that pours across the page
Losely held together, by grammer's wide ribcage
Packed against the bare bones, falling thru the cracks
Only some are true enough, to posture burdened backs

Pray For Peace

Lady A,

Words penned a just that, WORDS. We must live those words to give them a special meaning. I noticed, you do that with everything you write.

Breathtaking Anita! You have my prayers as does your son and all the military and of course the world for peace. Send this poem to your local newspaper copy the page as is all of it, they'll publish it I'm sure!

"grammar's wide ribcage"... and it just gets better, Lisa, the profundity grows, the depths, deeper, the brilliance of expression, like a bird in flight... I'm helpless to express myself. To know how impressed I am, how moved by your poetic ability here, you would need to climb inside me.... this is such amazing poetry. You just never miss the mark! katy xox.

Liked this. From a different spiritual perspective that most people in America I have to say the only posture for this prayer is head held high, screaming against greed and injustice.

Amazing, the way you take words and make them flow together in a powerful way. This is beautiful.

The best posture to pray is from a true and simple heart Lady...
And words should only be uttered with honesty and care..
